Lunch: A Photo Essay

Date April 11, 2008

Sara surprised me with a trip downtown to McKay’s Bakery for lunch today. We stopped in for cupcakes a few weeks ago, saw they offered lunch, and made plans to come back. Today, we came back:

Lunch
Vegetable Beef Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl

Custom Made Desserts

Giant Cupcake

Green Balls

I always loved their $1 Day-Old Iced Raisin Bread. Bring some to Temple.

Haven’t read this book, but is about Cocaine use. Interesting movie — Kafka-esque.

I used to work at McKay’s. Great place. Try the Harvest muffins next time. They are Bobby Green’s own recipe and they are fabulous as are the thumbprint cookies and the coffee cakes and, well, everything really.
