Goals for 2008- Checking In
April 7, 2008
Back in January, I gave myself the following “goals” for 2008:
- Have finally joined NAPP
- Get published at least once (even if I have to do it myself)
- Produce a decent portfolio site
- Sell at least one printed work (to a coffee shop, an individual, anyone, really…)
- Write a decent review of all the gear I’m currently using
- Do some good with my photography
The list now looks like this:
- Have finally joined NAPP
Get published at least once (even if I have to do it myself): Ha! I went and got published twice. In the same week!Produce a decent portfolio site: At least I think it’s decent- Sell at least one printed work (to a coffee shop, an individual, anyone, really…): Still waiting
- Write a decent review of all the gear I’m currently using: In-process
- Do some good with my photography: On-going
Not doing too poorly, if I say so myself. Considering it’s only April, I have plenty of time to do the rest. I may revise this somewhat, though. I may want to join NPPA instead of NAPP (National Press Photographers Association, instead of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals).
And while my Uganda trip may not have changed the world, I know at least two groups of people who said they were positively impacted by the images I brought back, as well as the encouragement to see the world the way God sees it. I don’t think I will ever be able to completely mark that item off my list.
Keep your eyes peeled for those up-coming gear reviews. With tax-return money right around the corner, now might be the perfect time to upgrade your equipment (AND stimulate the economy while you’re at it!). And, if anyone wants to help me cross-out #4, let me know!
Peace out,
GKB

How much for a framed 8 X 10 Color of the soulful Spike picture?

In case you’ve forgotten the names of all ten, Spike is the one looking soulful on the back of the chair.
